[[?]] frame [[Nan?]] & B. had on my portrait of her and go over to the moore at 5.  Work till 7  grey day.  A little girl passing
down on the road with her mother and others says as she see me "Oh mother that mans going to get an awful lot of money for that picture."  The remark coming from the distance strikes me and I wonder how near the truth it will prove to be.  Home at 7.  Carol likes the landscape but doesn't like the subject  Thinks Atwoods house not important enough to make a picture of.  I don't agree with her as I like very much the appearance of the building - from where I see it - Meet Mrs McIntosh who is pleased when I tell her how I liked her picture in the ex last year.  Says she's sending again this time.
Monday 12 August very hot in to Gallery [[?]] early with my two pictures.  Then over to train for Boston.  Stop at Transcript and leave some copy with editor who says Donner is off for a time.  Stop at "Post" dont find Carbery again.  Not in Monday remember.  Then up to Voses  See the time show of Ryder & Muller.  R C [[?]] young Thompson talks a lot & shows me a fine Homer water color English coast with figures.  Off up to museum  Find the Signings
