Val says Mr. Neilson gave Miss Von Shollay two commissions for portraits of his daughters, and Val says Miss Nielson is now doing a bust of her mother. No mail from Transcript hell! I tell Val to tell Col. Wonson he has a good head and I'd like to paint him. Seems now as though I'd really get to work at last from heads thus far Miss Oliver, Rimball Kronberg and Brown. Must keep it up. May ask Sloan to sit. May. not sure. Must keep going. Downes has a lot of rubbish about Baker in the Transcript
