  see for first time how very fine this is.  head is magnificently direct ruddy cheeks and blue grey of [[?]] lips slightly open and arrogant yet kindly mouth is very fine  [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] fine  Staunch proud man.  Early Copley of very fine type [[underlined]] must [[/underlined]] use it without hands and white stockings which slam in awkwardly yet with true expression. Clothes dark blueblack head solid & fine

Val comes up to him and tells him in all seriousness he cant see anything in it. B drops in to see Bayley Lever who is in stitches over my Transcript article on the Moors show a month ago.
