Call up Mrs Lever and while waiting for her in library meet Mrs Futler again Mrs F on a search for Bowdoins fine notice of her picture of which I told her. Mrs. Lever comes and asks me if I'd go to Met. Mus. with her and look over the things with her little pupil and with her. Go up in the stage. She said Townsend was in such upset by the Transcript note of my new newspaper wrote Daniel denying it! and damning me -- poor old T old scoundrel. Find Mrs. Lever's pupil a dear little girl about 18. Very sweet and quiet. dark sort of Jap eyes French round face tight packed flesh. I suggest a sketch of her -- she says delighted.
