Almost decide to come out with one sheet & a cover to pay respects to these slow moving dealers.  Stop over to see Don who has done nothing but scout for some news that I cant use.    Trotta came in to see the show at Babcocks says "Dickinson told me about your portrait of him and I came to see it."  We go in after I introduced Trotta as the man who is painting Pres Wilson in commissions from Italians.  Trotta says he likes my head of Dickinson very much.  Keeps saying so.  Doesn't look at much else.  Says he's getting up a show at Flushing of 45 biggest Americans and wants my port of Dickinson.  Stop up to see D after Trotta goes inviting me out to see him.  Find Dickinson better. of his cold looking nearly right again.  Says he's willing to move the Expressionist show if [[strikethrough]] he [[/strikethrough]] it doesn't cost anything.  D says the Captain painted him today  We go in to see it  I tell D it isn't like him, though its fluent and has some good color in it.  I tell him to give the Cap fits on it.  He says "What's the use the Cap'll never do anything anyway."  Says this after telling me the thing is "darn good."  I say "Give him a chance, anyway."
