Gloster Friday night  see Val Saturday then off to Boston & on to Framingham  stay at Bernharts & get him to send a picture to Mussmanns for summer

Sunday morn off to Worcester  spend PM in the Museum which has gone down since Wiger supplanted Gentries.  Woman tells me the museum is paying all expenses of the British war show traveling the country  off to NY  Stop at New Haven to see mother then on to New York Monday

Thurs  ^[[12 June]]  Stop into Canadian show at Anderson  Konody stops up as I came in and I find him very agreable.  Goes over the show with me.  Introduce him to Mr E.G. Kennedy who comes in.  Kennedy tells me a lot about his portrait by Whistler (Metropolitan) and much of Pennell, says he's sick of Pennells antics.  Says Whistler was very anxious to get back a picture he K bought but K made excuses to keep it away as he says Whistler in his later days was apt to ruin his pictures by changing them.  Kennedy & Konody both deplore the spectacle Nevinson made while here.  Konody says he K forced the Royal Academy to take the show in and forced Paynter out as Pres.  Konody sits down to look over my paper & when he sees the London says "Why don't you let me do the London?"  I say [[strikethrough]] Go Ahead  He says "I will right away on the Royal Academy."  Konody agrees McAvoy is good man.  Kennedy agrees with me that the Cameron is [[strikethrough]] one [[/strikethrough]] about the best thing in the show.  Konody says he'll be delighted to sit for a charcoal head either at the Lotos or the Canadian Clubs.  Konody and Kennedy.  Kennedy says the Richard Caufield
