Mon  Drop into "Holbein" & find Cap Nave & Dickinson in good spirits.  Take Mountfort & Miss [[Fulche?]] over to the Grenoble for dinner.  Dickinson painting an Arndt for last time.  Arndt grudging the time.  Later see [[strikehtrough]] Arndt [[/strikethrough]] Dickinson & his 69th trooper Jersey Walcott who wants to do something on my paper but when I suggest getting adv. or subs. he caves in  says he thought he might do something on the typewriter.  Here's a man been over the top to whip the Germans who shies at hammering the Fifth Av dealers for adv.  Dick brings me a lithe bright North American girl whose name from stepfather is Wallace but whose first father was Keogh  bright & pretty  one of D's art students in Minneapolis.  Make Monday for lunch with Cap & Dick at Marquins.

Saturday 14 June  off to New Haven to see mother, find her fairly well but nervous

Sunday 15 June  trolly from NH to Plainville then walk into Farmington.  Stop to see Douglas who is making stage models for new play of Winchell Smith, labor labor.  His

     Daniel Montross  meet old JB Yeats [[see?]] Montross & [[Irishman?]] - New England  he says "New England  who were the people who settled there?  I say "English".  He says they were from Ulster.  I'm from Ulster.  Then he launches into a long talk Montross smiling.  Yeats says the revolution in Ireland has helped matters and extolls the revolutionists.  Says I knew them intimately.  England was very stupid to kill them.  Says Belfast will finally go for independence.  Question the Senate resolution.  Mrs Ramsay of Kevorkians comes in.
Smiles beautifully & we all go down elevator together.  Mrs Ramsay smiles beautifully again as she goes off in black satin.  I take Yeats & go over to Kingores to see the Camerons
