Saw Price about going to see Bd Charles or rather Russell who says P was called to Brooklyn. E. Carlsen & Dewroy came into Fs & Carlsen says of my paper as he looks at it "I like the style of it. I like the way you do things." Get the photo of Weirs "black girl."
Wednesday 19. June See Price who [[grials?]] Says "You ought to see Mrs. Force. She can do more for you than any dealer in N.Y. Charles asks me if she's in business with me. Of course not! He says And. O'Conor had a lunch engagement with her & didn't keep it. but that didn't make any difference with her. My dear J. Francis Murphe
The first time I ever met you you said, "I'm glad to know you Britton You've given me many a a good boost" Now I'm not writing this to remind you I'm simply [[groting?]] you; Sometime ago after you expressing interest in my new paper I wrote you asking if youd care to help me to get out the first issue. You never have answered that letter

Now I am not asking you again to help me at all. I'm not asking a successful artist to consider himself under any obligation to another artist who has written much appreciation of his work. I don't even ask you to subscribe to my paper, a paltyry 2 dollars. I merely mention that you have never answered my letter. Britton
