Let's go out and have a drink over to the "Great Northern"  So we go & C talks talks over a [[full?]] bottle of claret in ice.  I tell him I must go.  At 7 down to see Dickinson who is posing for Woolcott of the 69th and was doing a good one.   Tell him I'll reproduce it which pleases.  Take D out to supper & he tells me he has a studio so he says "Im feeling way up of course - after being so long without one  now I'll get my stuff together and you'll see something."  Good.  Stop to see about Carol & nurse says both child & C doing very well.  Good.  Stop to see Miss Walsh & others [[?]] who subscribe.  Fine people  good taste  fine home.

   Friday 27  fierce rain all day  Get drenched  Do almost nothing.  Meet Eliot Clark on 6 [th?]] W & he says "I'm hard up but I'm on the [[LePay?LeHay?]] Com. of the Salmagundi  I will take the subscription over there.  Says he's writing something now for Sherman's "Art in Am."
