I found him ^[[Healy]] keeping house in a pleasant part of the city.  as a fine studio in a garden pavilion.  His son in law was a fine looking young French artist whose name I don't recall but I recollect while we were at dinner I happened to speak of Rembrandt.  "Ah" said he "when we Parisians wish to study Rembrandt we go to London for one good King Louis XVIII had those in the Louvre thickly varnished over, dirt and all."
