But Leo has his own fine big limousine and his boy Francis.  At the cemetery Leo appears dressed in fine style  The admiration of all the women.  Comes over to Annie B. and says "Annie you'll come home with me"  Poor Annie very guiltily says I guess not.  So we drive back to Gerties where the Doctor has a big dinner.  I return to N.Y. at 7

Monday 1 Dec.  Drop into Ferangils  get a 10 from Price to settle whole bill.  Find Emil Carlsen [[strikethrough]]to[[/strikethrough]] in there.  Bring Carlsen over to Babcocks to see our show.  Says of mine "That's a very beautiful canvas".  Says of D's portrait of me "Id never know it was you, unless I knew it was you."  Carlsen says he's too old to show much now.  Looks quite feeble.  Back to Prices  Giff Beal comes in.  Tells me he hears Monty Flagg & wife are going into antique business "no architechural stuff doing".  Beal says he owns a Theo Robinson Snow Scene 14th St.  Price has a Robinson. 1200

Russell at Ferargils says "Carlsen has been telling us about your picture.  You're quite a painter, Mr. Britton."  Carlsen beams.  Later I hear Carlsen won the $800 Academy prize so I understand his beam.  I suppose he knew all about it in advance.  Beal has something up his sleeve.  I tell him about the Legros show at Kraushaar & suggest he put up a lot of studies in his own show there.  Says he'll go in to see it.  [[Enid out by?]] Kraushaar is going to feature him.
