Tues 23 Dec  off to New Haven to see Ern  get a hundred from him but have to wait over till morning & go to Hartford to bank.  Meet Mike Cisney on Pratt St. who says he's out of the P.O. at Windsor Locks  says "The Postmaster called me down in public and you know that won't do."  He says hes coming to New York to the Village to take a room and probably paint.  Meet F Rundtoken in restaurant.  R all off in health  his mothers death completely wrecked him.  Take [[4?]] train arrive at dinner.  Carol happy  been out getting Christmas things.  Christmas eve.  Snow out makes everything just right.  Go up to Library to find Hoppin but no.  Come down 7th Av in snow.  Find some of those stores open.  Buy a lot of things for the kids and go home in the snow.  Fix the things over the fireplace and in the morning

26 Dec  Friday  stop into Daniels.  Hard [[place?]]  feeling glum  Man Ray comes in & we have an argument on mechanicism  Ray damming nature.  In comes Yarrow says he's put in [[for?]] Phil  Yarrow amusing swell  spats  fashionable coat  well cut hair  gloves & stick.
   27 Saturday.  4 PM for Hartford  Meet Nan her two new daughters on train all in black.  At Hartford meet  F [[Rundfaken?]] Joselly's pupil again & he walks out to Gerties with me.
   Sunday 28 Dec nice dinner in Gerties house.  Annie [[Briell?]].  No Doctor home.  PM at studio get some landscapes out for bringing to New York.
   Monday 29 Dec  slow doings in New York  galleries all asleep  no shows.  Drop in to Kingores  Find Anisfeld & Dr. Brinton & K.  Anisfeld says he wants to subscribe.  Brinton says "The paper is coming along finely Mr. Britton."  Anisfeld waiting  all dressed up  Some of his paintings here.
