Mus. for $3000 before Luxemburg got it.  Met. refused it.  Smith says his friend Ben Brown collector wants to meet me.  Says C Lansing Baldwin owns a heap of Murphys & will have to sell soon.  Smith says "Why don't you send to the Academy and get in and work with us there?  Long discussion on this.  Smith says Weir helped Giles much.  Smith says Murphy is very ill kidneys affected says "If Murf goes its like cutting off my right hand.  He was my best friend.
