Barile in rare spirits, brings his brother the recilationist[[guess]] Find big crowd at elevator. Go up  Find Sloan standing in dress suit on exhibition in a side room with door open where the jamming crowd entering can see him in profile full length. Jamming through we meet in the jam coming out Jerome Myers his wife & pretty daughter Then Haley Lever & his wife in black evening gown She takes my hand as we squeeze past. Inside Ham. E. Field presses over to us. Introduce him to Dickinson Further on meet Ch. Prendergast; see Ed. Fisk & Ben Beun[[guess]]. Further on meet Bowdoin of Eve "World" who says "You haven't met Mrs. Bowdoin yet" & presents the lady. Press on  Barile full of funny remarks about the stuff.  Dickinson spots Bellows bald head in the jam & later Henri in dress coat. D slides over the slippery floor past Henri & Dickinson is tickled with the idea. Stop later to sit down. See Kroll carrying his nose around hurriedly. Meet Mrs. Fister who is all thinned down. I ask "What is it" She says "Prohibition, I need the beer." She's right.  Pass young Dudensing who smiles as I ask him if he's there to buy.  Find Sec. Baylinson later. Meet Kroll who says, "Say where is my magazine?" See Bernsteins portrait of Bob Cole but no Bernstein.  Place full of Bolshevists. Dickinson disgusted. Barile introduced nice girl painter Miss Rosenthal [[Kucheng?]] & his wife. Mrs. Whitney's "Wounded Soldier" the most noticed piece of sculpture. Looks good.
