March 22. Spent all morning clearing up belated mail. I see now that [[red underline]] May has practically $224000 advance orders for 1915. [[/red underline]] this in addition of [[red underline]] $50.000 [[/red underline]] already delivered will bring up minimum orders for this year to [[red underline]] $224000, [[/red underline]] leaving only $76000 for ten months (inclusive march) for bringing up our orders to [[red underline]] $300.000 [[/red underline]]
This month we have already [[red underline]] $16000 [[/red underline]] which would leave an average of about $6000 for each remaining month. This seems to insure a satisfactory condition for [[red underline]] 1915 which will be as good as its predecessor. [[/red underline]]
Evening [[red underline]] George [[/red underline]] and I went to photoplay in Yonkers, "David Harum."

March 23. This morning in studying list of advance contracts for 1915. If we get the [[red underline]] 110 tons of cresol [[/red underline]] which Rossi ordered ^[[from England]] this will put us in a somewhat easier conditions. If not we [[red underline]] cannot even [[/red underline]] send the figure of [[red underline]] sales of last year. [[/red underline]]
