In leaving the town I noticed much construction going on this section being built up since the late fire which had destroyed the houses till the ground line. [[red underline]] Swampscott [[/red underline]] a pretty resort - Ocean House Hotel - This place has charming combination of rocky bluffs and sandy beaches. Then later the [[red underline]] Lynn [[/red underline]] Shore drive which belong to [[red underline]] Boston [[/red underline]] Park system which is an unusually pretty beach, flat and sandy and well cared for, with many simple but pretty cottages surrounded with trees and well kept gardens with the [[red underline]] Nahant [[/red underline]] promontory in the distance. [[red underline]] This is the most cheerful and simply pretty looking seaside resort I have ever seen. [[/red underline]] Incompa-

rably [[red underline]] more cheerful looking than those, monotonous, glaring glittering beaches of New Jersey or the Belgian coast. [[/red underline]] which have no green to offset the cold glaring monotony. The beach continues [[strikethrough]] then [[/strikethrough]] to end in Revere Beach which is practically the "Coney Island" of Boston, crowded popular and noisy; then an [[strikethrough]] splendid [[/strikethrough]]
