Aug 16. Showed it to May too, then went to office of [[red underline]] British Consul [[/red underline]] to have it [[vised?]] but room was so crowded with young english men waiting for passports that I gave it up and went to [[red underline]] Mali's [[/red underline]] office (consul of Belgium) who supplemented my affidavit with his own statement and gave me letter of introduction.
