Aug 21. Albert, Lawrence and Alexander all on board fixing things. Gave Alex and Lawrence a Dollar each. Then [[red underline]] George [[/red underline]] came aboard 
Yesterday he was at [[red underline]] Bradley's funeral. [[/red underline]] Afternoon we went out with boat. Still much water in bilge. Does not seem to diminish. I drove to Yonkers. I bought about $30.00 of [[red underline]] canned goods [[/red underline]] and eatables from Acker Merrall and Condit. Have [[red underline]] enough to start a small hotel, mostly sardines! [[/red underlined]]
Then went to Francforts Restaurant where [[strikethrough]] Geor [[/strikethrough]] we both had a big square meal. - I have been munching fruit and crackers for several meals. Torrential rain. [[strikethrough]] w [[/strikethrough]] while we were at supper.
