Aug 25. Hurried dictation all day so as to clear my mail. After lunch took train to [[red underline]] Nyack. Boat [[/red underline]] ready and [[red underline]] reasonably tight. [[/red underline]] Took her to Yonkers in one hour. Engine now works splendidly, no further trouble. Last fixing on board. [[red underline]] Everything seems all right and pleasant. [[/red underline]] 
Let Albert go ashore  I remain aboard for supper of some dry herring and bread and worked till everything finally is stowed away and hung up the way I want it.

is going away Saturday on her vacation. 
At 4 P.M went to call at [[red underline]] Ishikawa [[/red underline]] who is at Hotel Marseilles. He wanted to bring me a present of Mr. [[red underline]] Tanaka [[/red underline]] a [[strikethrough]] S jewelled [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] beautiful japanese sword which is nearly 600 years [[/red underline]] old made by a famous smith called [[red underline]] Sadamune [[/red underline]] and is the style worn by the [[red underline]]Shogun. [[/red underline]]
Drove him to Snug Rock deposited the [[red underline]] sword [[/red underline]] then went for a motor drive up the River then Port Chester etc. took supper at Woodmansten, brought him back to his hotel. Hurried to Yonkers Station Celine had already arrived a few minutes sooner. Found her at home with [[red underline]] Nina [[/red underline]] and Edith Parsons all delighted with their experience in the woods. - Cool nice weather.
