the bridge at Troy ^[[7:00 P.M]]. Fortunately it was a bright night and moonshine. We anchored on the [[red underline]] Eastern shore of the Hudson river near Albany,[[/red underline]] close to a newly constructed wooden dock. The passing passenger steamers gave us once or twice a stiff roll, then a stiff [[strikethrough]] breeze [[/strikethrough]] eastern breeze, set up during the night which died out in steady rain.

I got up several times during the night watching our anchorage.

Sept 21. Rain, rain, rain. and barometer still falling but no wind. Went to [[red underline]] Albany Y. C. [[/red underline]] to send telegrams and buy gasoline 
Excellent shelter each [[strikethrough]] bot [[/strikethrough]] boat being tied up along side small float.  all boats parallel to each other. ideal condition.  Club house ^[[more]] imposing from outside than inside.  Left about noon. [[strikethrough]] Win [[/strikethrough]] Strong breeze astern, gray dark cloudy

skies, but after awhile it cleared up and by 3 P.M again sunny weather.  Albert has been cleaning up since this morning and has washed the deck and everything and now is [[red underline]] killing flies [[/red underline]] and seems dead interested in his sport. Once in awhile I hear "slap" and then a satisfied grin.  Hot soup and sardines for lunch while steadily running.
At 5. P.M we entered [[red underline]] Esopus Creek [[/red underline]] and cast a bow and a stern anchor towards N. Shore about 1/4 mile before Steamboat Ldg. of [[red underline]] Saugerties, [[/red underline]] so as to have a quiet shelter for the night.
Sept 22.  Up early about 5 AM. Set up running lights and steered in the dark. then beautiful dawn.  As soon as in the Hudson River strong westerly breeze then nice clear sunny weather wind behind
