Very well attended but very uninteresting an boresome for me.  After I had stood in reception line for about two hours went home to bed and let them keep on dancing till 2 P.M.

Jan 7. Feel very tired, but spent morning and portion afternoon trying to write down my work on bakelite so that Chandler may understand it.

Jan 8. Afternoon went to University Club then french Theater  Then joined Celine at Reception of [[red underline]] Takamine in Cosmopolitan Club. [[/red underline]] Imitation of Japanese landscape

Jan 9 (Sunday) Afternoon went to University Club for concert.  Met Richard Anthony who had the blues so took supper with him.

Jan 10. Celine is in New York
So I went for lunch at Chemists Club, where met [[red underline]] Grosvenor and McIlhiney. They still think I should give my experience at Perkin Medal. Evening [[/red underline]] drizzly rain.  Went to performance of "Gamine" at french theatre a long drawn out uninteresting play.

Jan 11. Here all day preparing my address for [[red underline]] Perkin dinner. [[/red underline]] The Stearns car came back painted from Toch's shop. Celine out this evening with Mrs. Loeb.
