At 3P.M. met Mr. Batelle a sugar chemist who came to get advice what to do with an invention of his for refining sugar. Referred him to A. D. Little or Allerton Cushman. At evening took supper with Celine at Plaza Hotel. Rather dreary stiff affair. Then went to see a play called "Common Clay", forceful and well played. After play Albert did not show up with our car, and after waiting in street for about 45 minutes we drove to station but he located us just as we were in the train. Foggy rainy day.
