Aug 23. Calm weather and sunny left for [[red underlined]] Valcour's [[/red underlined]] Island 
But soon weather becomes cloudy and rainy and water is stormy. Dropped anchor at [[red underlined]] Sloop Harbor. [[/red underlined]] Swam in the rain, excellent swimming. Another motor yacht - [[red underlined]] the "Lancia" [[/red underlined]] anchors near by.
Aug 24. Calm night, rain all over, tried trawling without success. Then went to visit our old anchoring place of last year. Then the camp of [[red underlined]] Mr. Hudson, [[/red underlined]] he [[red underlined]] was absent. [[/red underlined]] then after being told that there is much fish at Mallets Bay, lifted anchor and went thru draw bridge which connects. South Hero Island with Main Land. Aug 25. I left early in the morning in motor-dinghy exploring shores of the Islands and near by shores. Rainy and a few drops also tried trawling without success.
