Sept 8. Busy all day with belated work 
Very sultry weather followed by squalls and rain
Sept 9. Clear cool northern, [[red underlined]] Cygnet [[/red underlined]] has been rolling and shaking all night and this morning is unapproachable with row boat. Afternoon weather somewhat calmer [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] and went to Nyack to select a [[red underlined]] new dinghy, $100.00. [[/red underlined]] Nina with us, big waves, spray splashing over our head.
Sept 10. (Sunday) Unusually beautiful weather, but [[red underlined]] Celine [[/red underlined]] in bed with headache. Took car and visited public parks at [[red underlined]] Pelham Bay. Tent colony [[/red underlined]] well planned and orderly. Everybody seems happy, these inexpensive vacations for all these people. Bathing and swimming all free. Rocks and beautiful landscape 
Some of them come on bicycles
