Sept 16. Feel considerably provoked by the same old annoyance of [[red underlined]] Celine "putting order in my study room" so that I cannot find things at their accustomed place. Kept on dictating till about 11 AM then [[red underlined]] escaped on the "Cygnet [[/red underlined]] for some rest where nobody will butt in.
Weather splendid. Made up my mind to try a trip outside the narrows [[red underlined]] Gravesend Bay, Seagate Yacht Basin. Atlantic Yacht Club [[/red underlined]] etc all new to me. then we passed [[red underlined]] close to Coney Island [[/red underlined]] Very interesting when seen

from waterside, then finally ran into that inlet [[red underlined]] Sheepshead Bay. [[/red underlined]] chuck full of motor boats. Anchored over night. During [[strikethrough]] night [[/strikethrough]] evening saw in the distance the glare of Coney Island celebrating last Sunday of summer. Spent [[red underlined]] evening alone aboard studying Pilot Guide to Florida. [[/red underlined]] Beautiful night - moonlight some boats and canoes pass, illuminated with Japanese lanterns and mandolin players.
Sept 19 (Sunday) Up at 6 A.M. Magnificent weather. About 8 AM many powerboats and small steam boats leave for their fishing excursions fisher-passengers at the rail all provided with a rod and a bag. - out for a Sunday's fishing on the Banks
