A Yacht Lillian L. owned by a certain Levitt and another Wanderlust owned by Commodore Steiner near by. Telephoned to [[red underlined]] Toch [[/red underlined]] who sent his car. Lunch at [[red underlined]] Toch's house. [[/red underlined]] Left again at 3 P.M and cast anchor at 7:30 P.M. before [[red underlined]] Columbia Yacht Club at 86 street. A most interesting trip; never imagined I would [[/red underlined]] enjoy it so much, altho' I [[red underlined]] was entirely alone. [[/red underlined]] This is what makes this little boat of mine such an excellent vacation outfit.

Sept 19. Arrived at Cosmos Club for breakfast with [[red underlined]] Prof. Webster. [[/red underlined]] Then went to office of Secretary [[red underlined]] Daniels. Edison [[/red underlined]] and other members there [[strikethrough]] to get [[/strikethrough]] except Lamme and Craven ^[[and Richards]] [[red underlined]] Admirals of General Navy Board there to. Daniels [[/red underlined]] made speech thanking our board for services rendered and announcing board is now regularly constituted by act of congress and we [[red underlined]] are now officers of U.S. Navy [[/red underlined]] and as them made oath and signed
