An interesting talk about [[underlined in red]] Prof. van Hecke's [[/underlined in red]] personal experiences during the terror days of [[underlined in red]] Louvain [[/underlined in red]] expressed in moderate language and on this account so much the more impressive of the [[underlined in red]] cruelty and barbarity of the German army. [[underlined in red]] Then afterwards moving pictures showing life in the refugee camps. They both stayed here over night.
Oct 6. A day of restless activity hoping to straighten out belated matters. Dictating correcting telephoning etc. Miss Evans tells me she cannot find the [[underlined in red]] Condensite Contracts [[/underlined in red]] which irritates me very much as they were left in her responsibility.
