Dec. 2. Here all day. [[underlined]] Rossi [[/underlined]] came for supper; talked over general business matters and future policy also his contract.  [[underlined]] He is a totally different proposition than May.  [[/underlined]] Pleasant and very appreciative, not trying immediately to reach the limit.  Furthermore he has a [[underlined]] much broader preparation than May, [[/underlined]] knows chemistry as well as engineering and has considerable experience in chemical problems and chemical business and understands foreign languages.  In fact [[underlined]] May does not realize how [[/underlined]] much better [[underlined]] prepared Rossi is [[/underlined]] he cannot realize it because he does not know what he knows not.
