[[/red underline]]  A fine set of young men and some of my older friends  [[red underline]] Reese and Conway then afterwards a reception, [[/red underline]] Listened attentively dwelt specially upon [[red underline]] Germany's half-preparedness and our chemical situation. This is a splendid well organized hotel.
May 9.  Mr. [[red underline]] Woodbridge [[/red underline]] chief of Experiment station drove me there with Reese.  Charmingly situated in a wooded ravine along the Brandywine Creek.  [[red underline]] Laboratories and test rooms near old [[/red underline]] stone powder mills. near dam.  Everything [[red underline]] spick and span and clean and well conducted. [[/red underline]]  there are now about [[red underline]] 700 chemists employed [[/red underline]] by the Dupont company.  Reese
