Aug 9. Home all day except evening went to Club.
Aug 10. Went to N.Y alone with new car to get maps for trip to Quebec. Met Captain [[red underlined]] Dupoey [[/red underlined]] of French Army drove him around

Riverside drive then he with Lieutenant [[red underlined]] Paternot [[/red underlined]] (Radio Service) and [[red underlined]] Duc de Guiche [[/red underlined]] (Aviation) all drove to Longue Vue for supper.  [[red underlined]] George [[/red underlined]] joined us there with a coat for [[red underlined]] de Guiche [[/red underline]] who feels cold.  They all stopped a few minutes at "Snug Rock" on their return to get their [[red underlined]] Bakelite Fountain pens. [[/red underlined]] I drove them back to Ritz Carlton Hotel and I stayed overnight at University Club.
Aug 11. Another day of lovely weather. Took lunch with [[red underlined]] de Guiche and the other French officers at Ritz Carlton.
