They have obtained [[underline]] A1 priority and Army Ordnance has waived [[/underline]] priority so as to push this job along but Navy is [[underline]] not willing. [[/underline]] Told him to [[underline]] write me a letter to [[/underline]]

that effect and would take up this matter with [[underline]] Secretary of the Navy or Admiral Earle [[/underline]] Chief of Bureau of Ordnance.  Afternoon Dr. [[underline]] Burill of Bureau of Mines and chief of the gas division drove me to his [[underline]] laboratory [[/underline]] or plant where all experiments and tests and research work in [[underline]] relation to gas warfare are conducted. [[/underline]]
The unoccupied unfinished buildings of the so called [[underline]] [[?]] University have [[/underline]] been adapted to this. A large number of [[underline]] separate laboratories [[/underline]] have been installed during the last two or three months and many more equipment is being provided. At present about [[underline]] 150 chemists [[/underline]] and about [[underline]] 100 helpers [[/underline]] are engaged in this work and already [[underline]] $800000 [[/underline]] has been appropriated.
