Nov 10. Left hurriedly this morning to catch 7:30 A.M. train. Beautiful Indian Summer Weather.
Left Pa Station 9:15 A.M. via [[red underline]] Seaboard Airline. [[/red underline]]
Day spent in reading. Met Mr. Frank Drew of Jacksonville Fla., a railroad man.
Nov 11. Arrived [[red underline]] Savannah [[/red underline]] two hours late.  Beautiful autumnal foliage of the woods. Mild weather very pleasant. Drove to [[red underline]] Cygnet [[/red underline]] by automobile. [[strikethrough]] Bus at [[/strikethrough]] Boat looks pretty and well kept, found [[red underline]] Albert and a helper at work [[/red underline]] with engine to renew [[red underline]] muffler [[/red underline]] which is [[red underline]] corroded. [[/red underline]] Am astounded to find everything so clean

and well kept. Took simple lunch of box of sardines and crackers.- [[red underline]] How delightful it tastes! [[/red underline]] Put on my overalls and [[red underline]] stayed aboard all day, [[/red underline]] and slept aboard.  How quiet [[red underline]] how peaceful, [[/red underline]] feels already as if [[strikethrough]] grea [[/strikethrough]] a year had not elapsed. - Busy till 8 P.M putting things in shape and discussing charts.
Nov 12. [[red underline]] Albert [[/red underline]] has discovered that muffler of engine is entirely [[red underline]] clogged up with grease [[/red underline]] and graphite.  This explains many of our troubles last year. [[strikethrough]] Elm [[/strikethrough]] After I took short walk thru village and to Yacht Club.  Elmgren drove me in his [[strikethrough]] motor [[/strikethrough]] little motor car to [[red underline]] Savannah [[/red underline]] [[strikethrough]] and I w [[/strikethrough]] to have muffler repaired and on a general shopping tour.  Newspapers bring [[red underline]] some good news from Russia [[/red underline]] after all
