the necessary machinery all this was begun nearly a year ago. It is an immense plant now; production delayed at first on account of many causes is now fast approaching normal this week it had attained the rate [[red underline]] of 29 a day [[/red underline]]. Marvelous machinery and splendidly organized plant as at the Ford Company there is a very long testing shed where [[red underline]] motors [[/red underline]] are all tested for 8 hours, then sent back, taken apart, refitted, and tested again 1 hour before being shipped. The noise of these testing sheds is ear-splitting. One shed is equipped for testing 100 motors at the same time. We calcu-

late that the power going to waste in this room alone is 45000 h.p.! But just now the matter is less to save the power as to get the motors out. 
This meets total production of Liberty Motors averaged [[red underline]] 80 per day [[/red underline]]. 
I notice with pleasure that all the [[red underline]] Liberty Motors [[/red underline]] are provided with two [[red underline]] well molded [[/red underline]] [[black and red underline]] Bakelite Caps [[/black and red underline] covering the [[red underline]] bakelite [[/red underline]] insulated spark distributors. These [[strikethrough]] gre [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] Bakelite [[/red underline]] pieces gives the motor a familiar appearance. 
The plugs were Titan plugs. We had lunch at the restaurant of the Lincoln Plant. Am told that [[red underline]] Curtis [[/red underline]] has built a [[red underline]] 12 cylinder engine and plane which goes at 148 miles per hour. [[/red underline]].
