[[/red underlined]] Report dissipates any doubt about possible dishonesty; but [[red underlined]] Colonel Deeds [[/red underlined]] is pointed out as liable [[red underlined]] to Court Martial [[/red underlined]] and headlines of [[strikethrough]] papers [[/strikethrough]] newspapers exploit this in the most misleading way. The fact is that [[red underlined]] Deeds altho' [[/red underlined]] technically guilty of overstepping the rules of military ethics simply did so, not for his nor his friends benefit, but in order to [[strikethrough]] issue [[/strikethrough]] cut red tape and insure action which would offset all the regrettable delays due to indecision, conflicting orders etc. [[red underlined]] After election is over, I should not be astonished if a feeble apology were presented to Deeds.
