Nov 17.  Met Major Triska at Cosmos Club.  There is [[red underline]] great restlessness among commissioned men in Washington [[/red underline]] who realize their job is over and are now trying to jump [[red underline]] promptly in a civilian position.  Many seem disappointed their resignation is not accepted [[/red underline]] immediately.
[[strikethrough]] I realize [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] Neither here nor in New York do people seem to realize the magnitude of recent events.  It may take 10 years, perhaps until a new generation is born before the full conception of what has happened. [[/red underline]] [[two large red exclamation points in left margin]]

Nov. 18. Met Mr. [[red underline]] Campbell [[/red underline]] of Toronto at University Club to talk about future of [[red underline]] Plastics Limited and bakelite in Canada. [[/red underline]] His information does not change our opinion that there is a [[red underline]] very limited field in Canada. [[/red underline]] Furthermore, [[red underline]] after 8 years they have nothing to show. [[/red underline]] told them we would be glad to take up the matter if there seemed better prospects but it is not worth while to devote our efforts or attention to such small prospects.  Told them that [[red underline]] both our companies have no further legal relations, [[/red underline]] but that nevertheless [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] I had the same good will. Campbell tells me that Invel bake Co. had made an offer to them.  I ans-
