At 3 P.M went to meet tricky Kirk Brown, Frank Dyer, Bull and Redman. As I distrust them all, asked May to be present.
Only Dyer & Kirk Brown showed up. Brown did first talking, asked how I felt about the suit. Told them I feel very confident to win it gave them some episodes how we exposed their tricks. He says [[red underline]] Redman group too feel confident. [[red underline]] Told him that if this is the case they do not yet understand the true situation. That Lee knows too much and too little to see clear and that Bull knows too little to understand the case. asked whether we considered that [[red underline]] Diamond Fibre Co were [[/red underline]] infringers and if so that they would be compelled to oppose a too broad interpretation of our patent. I comment that I have had no time to ascertain whether [[red underline]] Diamond [[red underline]] Fibre is in infringement or not, that we would take up this matter as soon as we were able to do so. [[Two red !! in left margin]] That in the meantime we were going to concentrate our efforts to [[red underline]] win that suit against Formica. [[/red  underline]] That if the patent was [[strikethrough]] upheld [[/strikethrough]]] not upheld their question would be devoid of purpose, but that I perceived possibilities where they [[red underline]] themselves might prefer to see this patent upheld [[/red underline]] and find out that there was no particular advantage of seeing us defeated.
