June 21. Bright cool morning. At. 1P.M. [[red underlined]] LaValette [[/red underlined]] came at [[red underlined]] Columbia [[/red underlined]] Yacht Club to take lunch with me Then came aboard is eagerly interested in everything on board, made himself useful in various ways even to wash dishes and glasses [[strikethrough]] while [[/strikethrough]] and rowed Leslie ashore. Full of enthusiasm for nearby dreadnoughts and spectacle of river and setting sun. Then went for supper at Yacht Club. and I went back on board
June 22. Sunday [[red underlined]] Leslie [[/red underlined]] who had arrived too late last night and had gone to Coney Island with one of his "gob" chasers. got left at the wharf of the Yacht club and slept in

a shed and was [[red underlined]] making signals at 6A.M this morning [[/red underlined]] from the float of the Yacht Club. [[red underlined]] Albert [[/red underlined]] came to fetch me with the car and I went to Yonkers for lunch. and [[red underlined]] Celine [[/red underlined]] and I afterwards drove alone to Ion there, and she remained aboard till Leslie came back about 9.P.M when we drove home. Beautiful cool weather. [[red underlined]] Celine [[/red underlined]] however was slightly incommodated by seasickness on account of rolling of the boat while at anchor. [[red underlined]] Nina [[/red underlined]] and myself [[red underlined]] as the only real sailors in [[/red underlined]] our family.
Slept at Snug Rock., afternoon [[red underlined]] went aboard Ion [[/red underlined]] To morrow [[red underlined]] my patent infringement suit resumes with arguments of both sides. [[/red underlined]]
