Dec. 22. [[red underline]] Nina & George Roll married [[/red underline]] to day.  Bishop Stillermann officiated, simple short ceremony of a few minutes. The two witnesses Mr. & Mrs. Zeeryp, Celine and myself present then all took dinner together
while young [[strikethrough]] musician [[/strikethrough]] violinist, student at Yale was playing excellent music accompanied by a good pianist. Then at 8:15 P.M reception of Nina's friends, about 40 present, including some fellow aviators of George. Made them a big bowl of brandy punch which was very popular. Then supper and everything over before midnight.
Dec 23. Straightening up things.
Dec 24. Home all day finishing up. [[red underline]] George Roll[[/red underline]] and Nina came back from New York

I have a cold and feel tired.
[[underline]] Dec. 25. [[/underline]] It snowed and blew last night. Landscape all white. Took early lunch and drove by [[?taxicab]] to Subway thence to Penn Station to catch 2:04 P.M train for [[red underline]] Florida. [[/red underline]]  Elmer A. [[red underline]] Sperry [[/red underline]] and Mrs. [[red underline]] Sperry [[/red underline]] on the train. Not too many passengers for Miami.
Dec 26.  Weather mild and bright
Dec 27.  Arrived Miami 2 hours late. Drove directly to [[red underline]] Yacht Yard. [[/red underline]] Found Lewis and a machinist of [[red underline]] Pilkington [[/red underline]] struggling with engine which refuses to start. [[left margin in red vertically:  Cygnet]] [[red underline]] Lewis [[/red underline]] reports boat was in awful condition specially in my cabin which had not been ventilated during the whole period
[[strikethrough]] forth [[/strikethrough]] full of cockroaches, moths and other insects. One suit ruined, [[red underline]] curtains corroded, [[/red underline]] everything molded
