May 2. A moderate Southerly breeze. feels [[strikethrough]] slightly warmer [[/strikethrough]] ^[[less humid.]] and a little more motion to the ship. Temperature in my cabin is 82-83◦F outside too it feels warmer. Ship is making about 13 knots.
To night bright sky and [[red underline]] total moon eclipse [[/red underline]] at about 11P.M. This was an excellent opportunity of following every phase of the eclipse with my binocular 8X.
Constellations were very bright during the time of the eclipse. saw [[red underline]] Ursus Major [[/red underline]] (dipper) at the same time as the [[red underline]] Southern Cross. [[red underline]]
May 3. Same bright weather Temp. in my cabin is 83◦ F but the electric fan keeps it comfortable [[red underline]] Dr. Darling [[/red underline]] of the Rockefeller institute contradicts the statement of [[red underline]] Dr. Crowell that 80% [[red underline]]
