June 21. This evening [[red underline]] Celine [[/red underline]] and myself were invited for diner at Plaza [[red underline]] by Armand Solvay and Jansson of Brussels. Mali [[/red underline]] there and [[red underline]] his daughter [[/red underline]] also men of [[red underline]] Brunner Mond [[/red underline]] & Co and their wives together with [[red underline]] Mrs. Janssen and Mrs Solvay. [[/red underline]] The latter wanted me to [[red underline]] take in hand their interests. [[/red underline]] and represent them here, and were [[red underline]] much astonished to hear that I declined their offer. [[/red underline]] 
Told them that instead of desiring more business I tried to get rid of any [[strkethrough]] respo [[/strikethrough]] business matters now and did not [[strikethrough]] care to augment [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] desire to augment my income, [[/red underline]] that I had [[red underline]] reached the age [[/red underline]] where a man should be more of [[red underline]] a philosopher etc. [[/red underline]] They seemed [[red underline]] considerably disappointed. [[/red underline]]

June 22. Zanette here for lunch. Celine was in New York
June 23. Here all day
June 24. Drove to New York with Lewis to buy cotton rope and other yachting sundries and returned with Celine in time for supper. [[red underline]] Since two day I do not feel well. [[/red underline]] - seems some kind of indigestion, although since two days have eaten nothing but peas and other vegetables 
Restless sleep - nightmare
June 25. Left early and gave testimony in [[red underline]] Bake-rite trade-mark [[/red underline]] interference at office of G.B.Co before Brickenstein. [[red underline]] Rossi tells me about impending strike in Perth Amboy and of [[/red underline]] agreement reached among manufacturers. 
Went about [[red underline]] Ion [[/red underline]] afternoon
