[[underline]] July 1 1920. [[/underline]] All day working aboard Ion putting last touches then trying her out so as to test engine. Went out in Hudson with Warner. He will have to come back, for further adjustments. A very busy day.
July 2. All day working on boat with Lewis, putting [[?]] and Kitchen in shape. Jim also here. Warner finished the engine [[underline]] finally. [[/underline]] This should have been done last year in

July 3. Drove to Yonkers to buy machinery supplies then all afternoon worked on boat. [[red underline]] Lewis [[/red underline]] had four bad teeth extracted!
July. 4 (Sunday) Cool strong Northern breeze. [[red underline]] Celine [[/red underline]] went out with us [[red underline]] on Ion to Peekskill [[/red underline]] and back to test engine. Dropped anchor before Corinthian Y.C. at about 8:30 P.M. she went back home. Lewis and I slept aboard. Quiet pleasant night. A very pleasant day [[strikethrough]] am [[/strikethrough]] The Henderson seem at its best. [[red underline]] Celine much pleased but as ever a poor sailor [[/red underline]] as soon as boat rocks.
July 5. Quiet restful night except for occasional rolls caused by passage steamers. Beautiful crisp air but very windy Northern. Lewis tells me shaft which drives dynamo
