it so by trying to dodge some marking brushes without pointers we had to back and try several times until a launch at anchor showed us the way between the brushes close by him then towards piles then in the middle under the two bridges. Strong current [[red underline]] (Canoe place) [[/red underline]] several small boats at anchor or tied up 
Lock was open but chains were down. after some minutes the chains were lowered. the strong current against me and slow speed giving poor steer-way required some caution. Dropped anchor after passing the locks to let the guard off. [[red underline]] Celine [[/red underline]] too wants to leave there and take a train specially as guard said we shall have strong Northern in [[red underline]] Peconic Bay, [[/red underline]] with white caps outside
