Dec 1. (1920) Directors meeting is postponed till tomorrow
Hectic work over [[red underline]] Dane Mfg situation. Feel more and more disgusted. [[/red underline]] Loss incurred thus far is [[red underline]] about $70000 [[/red underline]] since February! and more to come.
Dec 2. Director's meeting. First had a talk with [[red underline]] May, [[/red underline]] then managed to present all important matters to directors. All are there except Peters. All agree on policy proposed [[red underline]] namely to sell out our stock [[/red underline]] and notes of Dane Molding Co. to [[red underline]] establish amount of loss so as to permit us to write it off our books [[/red underline]] then reorganize the company.
Everything pleasant, no harsh words and no dissenting opinion.

Afterwards remained with Lansing, [[red underline]] Hayes, Schleussner, Hamman, [[/red underline]] May and Swan asking the two latter whether they had anything better to suggest. They entirely agree with us. [[strikethrough]] Went for [[/strikethrough]] Took May Swan and [[red underline]] Hays [[/red underline]] for lunch then a further long session till past 5 P.M with May and Swan, where in rapid succession all pending matters needing immediate action were discussed.
Felt very tired. Supper at University Club with [[red underline]] Lowson, [[/red underline]] then long talk with Townsend on our patent situation.
Dec 3. [[red underline]] Reagan [[/red underline]] the tax inspector here to explain me his corrections of [[red underline]] my tax returns.
George Roll [[/red underline]] with Lewis, Jim and Mike hammering a house over the Ion. Splendid mild weather.
