Considerable rivalry between Los Angeles and San Francisco in fact petty jealousy which unburdens itself [[strikethrough]] now ino [[/strikethrough]] frequently in talk and in newspapers. [[underlined in red]] San Francisco seemed much amused [[/underlined in red]] [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] at last year's earthquake in Los Angeles because [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] Los Angeles always boasted they had no Earthquakes. Then Los Angeles insisted the quake was not in Los Angeles but one of its suburbs, whereupon San Francisco retorted that when making the inflated census of Los

Am astounded at seeing many "sight seeing" large automobiles all marked [[red underline]] "free" [[/red underline]] ready to take idlers and visitors to any of the neighboring districts to induce them to [[red underline]] buy "real estate" [[/red underline]] there under the pretext of showing them the country. In several door's entrances I notice women distributing [[red underline]] free [[/red underline]] tickets for these "sightseeing" trips. Left at 3:00 P.M. Good observation car, first [[strikethrough]] mo [[/strikethrough]] well cultivated lands, walnut plantations, olives, and well kept orange groves then train skirts the shore with pacific in sight and mountains in distance.
