Hays tells me he will put the question to Goldsmith. I say no. Ask directly to Kirk Brown in presence of others, which he did. [[red underline]] Kirk Brown [[/red underline]] denies having sold to Westinghouse or Continental. I feel much relieved and very happy. While they are all conferring with Hays I keep in a separate room ready to give information or assent. Hamman is in his office and as fast as we progress with the matter Hays keeps him posted Schleussner is away and will not be back before next week. I have called up Townsend but he is in Washington till end of week. Early in the morning I saw Rossi and told him about present situation urging him to hurry out all pending orders and not to make unneccesary expenses.
