Changes in draft of contract are discussed further finally we all agree subject to redrafting contract in final form, which will be hurried. So "the war is over" and we all are very satisfied. I have no doubt this arrangement will prove advantageous to all. As far as I am concerned I shall do my utmost to work for the good of all, and not to neglect the rights and interests of our former competitors, and I hope they will relieve me of most of the worries I had to bear alone thus far.
Called up Williams, he is away.
Dec. 14. [[strikethrough]] Early wen [[/strikethrough]] Went to N.Y at 11.AM. Delivered 102 shares Am. Agricultural & Chemical Co to Goodbody which [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] they sold for me.

Lunch with Hays at Lawyer's Club then back to his office redrawing contract and discussing details 
Called up May to stop all [[strikethrough]] fe [[strikethrough]] future contracts for sales etc. also not to lower or change prices before conferring with Rossi and myself.
Dec. 15. All day at Hays office working on contract and details connected therewith
Dec 16. With Hays early. Further work on contract
Dec. 17. Lunch at Century Club with W. Franklyn Paris and other members of Cardinal Mercier Bust for N.Y. University. Mali, deCartier, Bertram Guthrie, Warren Whitney. 
Before the lunch drove with taxicab to [[red underline]] Thurlow's [[/red underline]] flat. Found him playing with a squirrel. Told him not to sell
