At 5P.M had interview with V.A. Belcher (Chemical Engineer, Un. Michigan) now employed as sales engineer to the New Jersey Company 160 Front st New York telephone John 2200 
He conducted the experiments in the Baskerville Lead Coating process for Mr. Dodge. Tells me the process still in its experimental stage. Is willing to meet Thompson and Wetstein and awaits their call. Very cold weather
Feb 17. Went to see Mr. George B. Russell who has finally returned and who is the President of Brown Baskerville Co. He confirm to me the story of Brown and puts failure at Rochester mainly on Eaton and Forbes. Tells me no royalties were obtained from Rochester because they

were canceled by Baskerville. That the Cartier plants were not clients of theirs and if any royalty has been paid it will be found at Baskerville Process Co. As to the new plant it will not be ready before several months hence royalties are not yet due.
Mr. Holmes showed me copies of letter he sent to London explaining frankly situation as it exists in Rochester, also copy of the letter was sent to Forbes, and the letters [[strikethrough]] answered [[/stirkethrough]] answer to it. A frank outspoken statement

Called up Mrs. Baskerville to make her acquainted with these facts. I believe there is little to gain by scuttling Brown and taking in Bradley and Layton who seem to be promoters and not engineers. Mrs. Baskerville asks me [[strikethrough]] th [[/strikethrough]] to wait and see
