not exposed to violent storms and outside the Gulf stream. From Miami to Gun Key is about 40-50 miles over Gulf Stream and this is usually the most difficult part. At Gun Key there is good shelter on anchorage altho' anchor must be shifted when wind changes. Gun Key is now central distributing place for bootleggers.
