July 1. Rain and fog and heavy showers. Remained home all day
July 2 (Sunday). Busy all morning. Afternoon drove to New Rochelle, Rye and Greenwich to inspect Yacht Clubs and to get acquainted with shore properties.
July 3. All morning busy with Bakelite matters 
Afternoon went to visit the Ion. Deck all blistered by heavy sultry

July 4. Cloudy and rather cool. [[red underline]] Dr. Wagner [[/red underline]] came here to take lunchen with me A very interesting chat til about 6 P.M when I took him back to Yonkers Station.
July 5. Rain almost all day. Went to N.Y. office. Got $8000 check for Celine's dividens which I mailed to Westchester Trust Co for deposit and  
Deposited $8040? in my bank.
Bought draft for [[red underline]] Frederic Swarts [[/red underline]] $78.30 (1000 francs) for Univ des Anciens étudiants de l'Unversité de Gand. 
this is used for scholarships and should be deduced from my taxable income.
