At 11 A.M. Balearic Isles almost abreast. - Cool. - overcoat needed) At 1 P.M. see mountains on the shores of Spain. One looks like a truncated cone.
April 2. Land on both sides - Mountainous See 2 small schooners which besides 2 fore and aft schooner sails carry a [[red underline]] square course-sail on foremast [[/red underline]] running with wind on the quarter.
